Aloe ferox - Cape Aloe
Aloe ferox commonly known as Cape Aloe. It is well known as Aloe Vera. Aloe ferox is native to southern of Africa. It is usually found in mountainous areas where it favors exposed ridges and rocky grass fields. This is an evergreen slow growing plant that grows to 2 – 3 m (6 – 8 ft). The leaves are a dull green, sometimes with a slightly blue look to them. Each leaf can be up to 1 m long. They may also have a reddish tinge. It blooms in winter. The flowers color is red, orange or white with cylindrical shape. All plant of this species is also relatively popular among gardeners and has been studied for possible medical uses. Aloe has a great medic value. For hundreds of years “Alo Jel” used for Skin care products. Aloe ferox plants are propagated mainly from seed and head cuttings, with plants sowed with approximately one meter separations. When it planted from seeds it takes about 4 to 5 years for the plants to reach the first harvest. At harvest time each leaf reached up to 1-2 Kg at weight.

Aloe Arborescens - Candelabra Aloe
Aloe arborescens commonly known as Candelabra Aloe also called Krantz Aloe the Afrikaans word "krantz", which means a rocky cliff. It is native to southern of Africa. Aloe arborescens is well known as Aloe Vera. It is usually found in mountainous areas where it favors exposed ridges and rocky outcrops. It is also found in dense bush. This is an evergreen slow growing plant. Aloe arborescens is a large multi-headed sprawling succulent, its specific name indicating that it sometimes reaches tree size that grows to 2 – 3 m (6 – 8 feet). Its leaves are succulent and are green with a slight blue tint. Its leaves are armed with small spikes along its edges and are arranged in rosettes situated at the end of branches. It blooms in spring. The flowers color is red, orange or yellow with cylindrical shape. All plant of this species is also relatively popular among gardeners and has recently been studied for possible medical uses. People cultivate it for aloe jells. Decoctions of the leaves are also used in childbirth and in treating sick calves. In the Transkei it is used for stomach ache and given to chickens to prevent them from getting sick.

Ferocactus glaucescens - Blue Barrel Cactus
Ferocactus glaucescens commonly known as Blue Barrel Cactus. This is native to the limestone hills of Hidalgo, Mexico. It is a spherical or cylindrical cactus. It is growing to 60 cm in diameter, and height up to 45 cm. It has long yellow spines. Its blooms yellow flowers in summer and the flowers last a very long time. The plants start blooming flowers when they are about 13 cm in diameter. Its fruits color is white with dry flowers. In cultivation in temperate regions it must be grown under glass. People like this cactus and plant in pot to decorate their house. 
Cultivate: Blue Barrel Cactus is easily grown from seeds and some from cuttings. Seeds can be sown in the spring or summer in well-drained pots of soil for plant.  After showing the seeds thinly on top, cover them with a bit of fine quartz grit. Moisten and lay a piece of glass across the top. The glass will warm the pot like a greenhouse. When seeds are growing plants remove the glass to receive full light and air for the young plants.

Cyphostemma currorii  - Cobas Tree - Butter Tree
Cyphostemma Currorii is known by the names of Cobas Tree or Butter Tree.  Cyphostemma currorii is found in hot, arid rocky places, and has been seen from southern Angola to Namibia and is common on the Brandberg. It gets to grow as big as it stores much moisture in its thick smooth trunk that reflects the heat and protects the trunk from evaporation. They are characteristic and decorative rockery species, but please remember that they are protected plants, because in nature they grow very slowly.  The tree is frequently multi-stemmed and may reach a height of 6 m, while normally the diameter of its trunk is about 1 m. The papery bark is yellowish to pale brown, the under bark whitish to reddish.  The small greenish flowers form a spreading panicle and appear together with the leaves. The leaves fall off in the dry season. Bunches of red berries develop from these flowers clearly indicating that this plant is related to the grapevine. The oval fruit are borne in bunches like grapes and colors are orange. The shiny skin and big green leaves that clump at the top makes it look like a large broccoli. Some look surreal, like they have come out from a cartoon. A curious conversation maker in any garden.  The foliage and fruit of this genus are rich in oxalic acid, so that the leaves are shunned by browsers, though the fruit is relished by baboons and monkeys.
